CARD GAME FRIDAY

Happy Friday Grade 2 Families!

Fridays are an exciting time for the Grade 2's because on Fridays we have Card Game Friday! The students are taught how to play a card game and then practice it with their classmates. Playing card games allow the students to practice turn taking, working with others, a variety of math skills, and more. Whenever we play a new game, I will it share with you on the blog so you can play with your family, if you'd like. The instructions to the game is attached below. We started last week with the game War, and this week we learned a new game called Trash

If you and your family have favourite card games, please let me know and perhaps we can try it in class! Happy playing!

Love,

Miss Ramirez

SEPTEMBER 11 - SEPTEMBER 15

Hi Grade Two Families!

It was a wonderful first week getting to know the new Grade 2s! They have adjusted welll to the different routines in Grade 2 and to the new classroom. Even though sometimes, by force of habit they still turn the wrong way to go to the washroom or their lockers, and have occassionally wandered into Mrs. Kelly's room. They have already discovered things in Grade 2 that might be their favourites such as GoNoodle, reading chapter books, read alouds, Art and extra-curriculars! The Grade 2's get to participate in Cross-Country for the first time!  It is their first opportunity to be a part of a school team, so I highly encourage all of your children to join.
