Tuesday, May 2nd

  • 8:45am - 2:00 pm - Richmond Zones Track Meet @ Minoru Track (Please check PE/Music blog)
  • Students are to report to the classroom teacher when they arrive at the track and before leaving 
  • Remember that the parking will fill up quickly as there are many schools participating 
  • Bathroom procedure: students must ask a buddy from the class and a Gr. 7 or adult chaperone 
  • Please remember that the concession and vending machines are off limits until after the track meet 
  • Students are encouraged to bring books and or playing cards (No electronic game devices) 
  • Pack snacks and a lunch for your child to eat. They will be reminded to eat throughout the day to ensure energy and hydration levels are well balanced
  • Number one thing to remember is to HAVE FUN!! 
  • Chapter 7-8 Novel Study Reading DUE 
  • Math HOMEWORK page 185 # 1, 3, 8, 9, 10

A Busy Week Ahead! April 24th to April 28th

Hello Grade 5 Parents. It was wonderful to see all of you at the Student-Led Conferences last Friday. I hope you enjoyed seeing all the learning that has occurred in Grade 5. Please note the following:Track and Field has officially started!!  Please refer to the track schedule that was sent home last week (or attachment on the PE/Music blog).

 Hello Grade 5 Families, Please note the following:

Weekend Homework: 

  • French homework: colouring and a set of 12 pictures
  • Read 30 Minutes (students should read aloud to a family member for at least 15 minutes)
  • Students also need to be reading a book that interests them and will be encouraged to create a project based on the book (Project due May 5th) Criteria will be provided in class this week
  • Students should be working on their Vancouver Aquarium Projects (Due May 1st)

April 3rd-7th

 Hello Grade 5 Families, 

It was wonderful to see how much the students have grown over the past two weeks!! This week we had the great opportunity of having Constable Kandola come into our classroom and discuss responsibility. Please not the following:

 

 Weekend Homework: 

Read 30 Minutes (students should read aloud to a family member for at least 15 minutes)

Science project work

Students are encouraged to attend Lent mass on a daily basis

 

Monday, April 3rd

  • Vancouver Aquarium Field Trip 
  • Please arrive at 8:45 AM we will leave 9AM sharp and leave the aquarium by 2PM 
  • Students need to wear their uniforms (they can wear runners) 
  • Please pack a lunch as we will be at the aquarium for the whole day 
  • No splash zone seating!
  • For students who may have ordered hot lunch, orders can be picked up when we return to the school
  • Students can start Aquarium Project DUE May 1st criteria available below
