 Hello Grade 5 Families,

Drop Off Procedures:

Thank you for your patience with the new drop off and pick up procedures in the back parking lot. Please use the back parking lot if you have a child in Grades 2 to Grades 7 the sooner we learn the new drop off and pick up procedures the quicker the flow of traffic will move.  Please refer to the Thursday letter from Mrs. Moorehead.

Speech Arts:

The Speech Arts Tri-School Festival will be held in Sacred Heart on Thursday, March 9.  In Grade 5, the students will only have a Poetry Reading. This year, participation in Speech Arts will be optional for the students. If they would like to try out for the Tri-School Festival, they will bring 2 poems from home for the teacher to review before practicing. An in-class festival (date TBA) will be held and they will be judged by 2 or 3 other teachers from the school.  These teacher judges will choose the best 4 students to represent our school at the Tri-School Festival at Sacred Heart.  Please discuss this opportunity with your child. Please be advised that I will not be forcing any students to participate. If your feel  that your child has the gift of reciting poetry in front of a live audience, please feel free to encourage them to participate in this event.
