Week of October 3 - 7

Hello Kindergarten Families,

We had a great week last week! On Tuesday, we attended our first school Mass. They were able to be reverend throughout Mass and participated in the prayers and songs! On Wednesday, the children had their first fire drill with all 31 friends! They did a wonderful job with the drill and we feel they are prepared for a real emergency. Thank you for all the support you to continue to give to the class and the school! A special thank you goes out to the many parents that were able to join us for a very successful Walk-a-thon! The children, albeit tired at the end, had a wonderful time walking with you and raising money for our school!

First Week of School!

Welcome to Kindergarten at St. Paul's School!

We hope you are as excited as we are about starting the school year! We are looking forward to meeting all of you and your children, and watching them learn and grow in their first year of school. This year we are pleased to have the opportunity to explore the new BC Curriculum with you and your children. Our primary goal is to promote growth and development in the spiritual, intellectual, physical, artistic, and social/emotional areas of learning. The purpose of this blog is to keep you informed about what is happeneing in our classroom and around the school. It was wonderful to meet all of your children and we look forward to the rest of the year!

The Archdiocesean theme of the year is "Care for Our Common Home". We will look at caring for our many "homes" - family home, classroom home, school, the community of Richmond, country of Canada and the Earth. As God intended, we care for the place, as well as the people and creatures who share it.
