Week of January 2 - 6
Hello Grade One Families!
Happy New Year! Wishing all of you a year filled with joy and the love of family and friends!
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas holiday! The Christmas season continues this week as we anticipate the Feast of the Epiphany. The students will be learning about the Epiphany this week and thinking about what they would bring the baby Jesus as their special gift.
We will slowly begin some new units of study this week as everyone adjusts to being back in the school routine. I will outline these units for you in an upcoming blog entry. We will resume home reading tomorrow and introduce new writing/sharing homework beginning next week.
Here are a few reminders for this week:
The weather forecast is for cold weather again this week! Please make sure that your child has appropriate outdoor play gear such as a winter coat, boots, mittens, a hat, and a scarf. Also, please send your child's black shoes to wear in the classroom. Thank-you!
