Hi Kindergarten Families,

Last week, the children enjoyed learning about our school's Patron Saint, St. Paul. They especially enjoyed celebrating together as a school community on Wednesday! Thank you to all the families that were able to join us to celebrate. What a special day! The children are beginning to learn about Community Helpers in Social Studies. If you have a job you are passionate about and would like to come in to tell the children about it, please e-mail us for more details! We would love to have you come into our classroom and share! This Friday, Kindergarten hosts Assembly with their buddies! Please come join us :)

Friendly Reminders:

  1. Library Books- due every Monday
  2. Class E-mail- Please reply to our e-mail regarding sharing parent e-mail addresses. We have had many inquires about the class list and need all parents permission to forward this information on. Thank you.
  3. Dibels- The mid-year language assessment for Kindergarten will take place in class this week. If there are any concerns with your child's results, we will be speaking with families directly.
  4. Labelling- Please ensure to label every item that you send to school with your child. With the winter weather, we are getting alot of items with no names on them. The children will often remember what is theirs, but sometimes there are mix-ups. Labelling everything will help to minize this. Thank you for your help.

January Items:

  1. Winter Wear- Winter has come into full swing! Kindergarten is "Every day ready" and we go out regardless of the weather. Please ensure your child comes to school with a thick jacket, scarves, boots, mittens/gloves and toques to wear while outside. Without the proper attire, we unfortunately cannot let them go out to play.
  2. Tissue Box- Winter brings both the cold weather and the sniffles! We ask you to send an unopened box of tissues to share with the class. Please put your child's name on it so we know who to thank for the tissues!

Parking Lot Update:

  • Kindergarten is not yet affected by these changes, as parents may continue to use the front school parking lot
  • However, please read Mrs. Moorehead's e-mail regarding parking lot closures and changes to traffic for the rest of the school
  • The parking situation will be changing, so please continue to look for updates.
