Week of March 27 - 31

 Hello Grade One Families!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Spring Break! We are now beginning the third term of the school year. The students have come so far and I look forward to this term as we continue to grow together.

As we begin this fourth week of Lent, the Grade One class will focus on how Jesus asks us to serve others in our daily life. I encourage you to please try to attend morning Mass at 8:15am. The students are always eager to see which HOBO symbols are used each day.

Hopefully you have had an opportunity to read Mrs. Moorehead's e-mail regarding the new parking lot procedures. Considering that most Grade One students are still sitting in "safety seats" in the car and may need assistance buckling themselves in, I would encourage you to park in the back parking lot and meet your child in the covered area at the end of the school day. If your child is able to get in the car independently then you are welcome to pick them up at the roundabout infront of the Church. It is very important that every morning your child knows where they will be picked up to avoid any worry or confusion on their part. Thank-you!

We will begin a new home reading program on Tuesday. The instructions will be included at the front of the duo-tang along with your child's reading book. I will explain the instructions to the students on Tuesday and ask that you please read the instructions before having your child read the book to you.

Please consider joining us and volunteering to drive students whose parents are not able to join us. The permission/volunteer form will be sent home later this week.

Please e-mail me at nkelly@stpaulschool.ca if you have any questions or concerns.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

 Have a super week!

 Mrs. Kelly
