Week of October 16 - 20

  Hello Grade One Families!

Last week was a short week, but filled with learning and fun! After Music class on Tuesday, the students collected data about their favourite instruments in the Music room and then later in the week, they wrote letters to Mr. Kelly about the results. I know they were very motivated to do their best because I saw a lot of finger spacing, periods, and neat printing! They also participated in learning stations to explore apples. At the tasting station, Ambrosia apples came out as the favourite!

Thank-you for your support of the home reading program. Just a reminder that the book and recording sheet should both be in the envelope when it is returned to school.

I am looking forward to meeting with all of you on October 27. If you have not yet seen the letter that was sent home about registration, please check the agenda book. The letter was sent home on Thursday.

Please note the following information for this week:

  • PE class
  • hot lunch for those who ordered
  • Primary Choir begins ~ please remember that this is not mandatory...students should be excited and motivated to be there!

  • Music class ~ I wonder how Mr. Kelly liked the letters about our data?

  • PE class

  • Earth Rangers Assembly at 9:00am in the gym
  • last day to return library books

  • no school for students ~ Professional Development Day

Please contact me at nkelly@stpaulschool.ca if you have any questions or concerns.

 Have a super week!
