Oct. 23-27

Dear Grade Four Families,

On Friday and Saturday, the staff of St. Paul School attended the Superconference at the Convention Centre along with 6000 other teachers from the Lower Mainland.  We listened to some amazing keynote speakers who shared their expertise in areas of inquiry based learning, planning and assessment using the new BC curriculum, digital literacy, and many more.  We were inspired, challenged, and affirmed that we are already doing amazing things at St. Paul School.

This past week, we had several guests come to our class.  On Tuesday, Mr. Jones came to speak to the class about his research study that will involve some of the students from the class.  On Wednesday, we had Mrs. Patterson launch our study in Social Studies. This year, she is working with the teachers to help develop more inquiry based lessons.  I was happy to see the children fully engaged in the activities, discussions, and lessons.
