Hello Grade 3 Families!
I hope that you are all enjoying your long weekend!
Two groups have already done their social studies project presentations on Global Indigenous Peoples. I’m really pleased with how well they did! The rest of the students will be doing their presentations this week. They will be posted on their Class Dojo portfolio during the last week of school, so that you can also enjoy watching your child’s group presentation!
It’s already time to get ready for the end of the school year activities! On Monday, your child will be bringing home a form that will need to be signed by you for the Primary Picnic on June 24th. I will be needing 6 parent volunteers for this activity. Each parent will be responsible of 5 students throughout the day. If you can help, please let me know on the form, and I will get in touch with you.
This will be our second year having the picnic at King George Park. We have changed locations so that the students can enjoy playing in the water park! Since it is too far to walk there from St. Paul’s, you will need to bring your child there between 9:30 & 9:45 am, and come to pick them up at 2:30 pm. All of the details will be on the consent form. I will also send an email prior to the activity.
Lunch will be provided on Thursday by Mathis’ parents to celebrate his birthday. It will be a variety of chicken and ham Vietnamese sandwiches.
We only have 2 and a half weeks left of school. There will be a lot going on between now and then! For this reason, your child will no longer have weekly spelling words. We’ll need that time to review and wrap up any loose ends in the classroom!
