Hi Grade Seven Parents!
It was an action packed week.
First off, thank you to all of you for your kind messages and gestures on World Teacher Day. You are incredibly kind and my heart was most definitely warmed that day. I am blessed to be part of this community!
Next, Wednesday saw our Grade 7’s lead the assembly with their Kindergarten buddies. We performed the Gospel reading from Luke, which is this Sunday’s Gospel, in which Jesus heals the ten lepers. However, only one, a Samaritan, returns to give thanks for the healing. We learned that this story shows us that Jesus came for all people.
Thank you to all the students who participated in the assembly performing the Gospel: (Hendrix (Jesus), Alex (Samaritan), Jabyn, Mike, Lisa, Bayden, Noah, and Isabella (Lepers). Also, thank you to Gianna, Kristie, Caitlin, Alfred, Lucas, and Matias for reading.

On Thursday we went to the Fraser River Discovery in New Westminster. The objective was to:
- To examine the conditions necessary for salmon survival
- To acknowledge the importance of salmon to BC
- To be able to compose hypotheses using background research and observation
- To understand the difference between and acid and a base
- To carry out tests on the water that will lead them to their experiment results

Today, Friday, we went to Garry Point to compete and challenge ourselves in both our annual Fun Run and Endurance Challenge with St. Joseph the Worker School here in Richmond. Congratulations to Lucas, Amelia, and Prudence who all finished in the top 3 of their respective races. Well done to Bayden who also competed in the race. Thank you to all the Grade Sevens for your enthusiastic participation with cheering on the other classes. It was a great afternoon!
