Hello Parents,
I hope that you have had an opportunity to review your child’s work on Google Classroom as part of her/his interim progress and that this was a productive process for both you and your child!
We also had a great time at Spirit Day 2022 this past weekend on Saturday! It was the first of three preparatory retreats we will be participating in as we prepare for Confirmation in the Spring (the second will take place on January 21 2023).
Thank you to all the parent drivers who made it possible for the children to attend and participate in praise & worship music (WAL Band), prayerful reflection and entertainment from Apex Ministries (Brad & Gene), and Mass with Archbishop Michael Miller.
And this is a much belated Happy Halloween and thank you to DJ Feelz (Noah Chiu) who provided the musical entertainment at our school Halloween Assembly. Thanks, Noah!
The school staff stepped up our “game” this year with our annual costume:
And here is what is coming up next…
Important Dates this week:
Thursday November 10th @ 9:15am – GRADE 7 LED MASS
We will be leading Mass this Thursday. Please join us if you can.
Thursday November 10th @ 10:45am – REMEMBRANCE DAY ASSEMBLY LED BY GRADE 7
Coming to Mass? Well you can stick around and join us for our school Remembrance Day Assembly which begins at 10:45am in the school gym and led by the Grade 7 class (with assistance from our Kindergarten buddies).
In addition to every student having a reading part in the assembly, we will also have several musical performances from some of our Grade 7’s (featuring violins, cello, piano and voice) as well as my father, Ray Kirkham (former member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra) playing trumpet. This in addition to video clips, poetry, and drama, we hope to honour the brave men and women who have given their lives in service of our country.
Friday November 11th – No School (Remembrance Day)
Have a wonderful week, everyone!
