Hi Kinder Families,
We had a busy but very exciting week! We had wonderful trip to the Brighouse Library and celebrated the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul! We look forward to another week of learning and taking home our Communicating Student Learning Progress Reports, at the end of the week!

Homework:
- Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of home reading (please use “My Reading” book, “My Read Well” book, and books from home)
- “Our Father” prayer –Please continue to practice this prayer every night with your child as we have incorporated it into our Morning Prayer routine.
- Number Formation- In your child’s “My Reading Book” (yellow duotang), is a sheet with short rhymes that will help them practice their number printing. We ask that you review these rhymes with your child and that they continue to practice their number formation at home.
- Cree Numbers – We have been learning numbers 1-10 in the Aboriginal language of Cree. We will be sending Number Sheets home this week so please look in your child’s “My Reading Book”.
- Open Parachute- We have continued our “Frustration, Motivation & Growth Mindset” unit. In your child’s “SEL” duotang (purple duotang), is Lesson 2 from this week. Please review and discuss it with your child.
Friendly Reminders:
- Socks- With the Winter season in full swing and the expected rain (or snow), we suggest packing an extra pair of socks in your child’s backpack, just in case.
- Scholastic Reading Club– The January Catalogue can be viewed online here. Reminder it is optional to order, but if you do please enter Kindergarten’s class code RC318627 at checkout so that we can receive rewards for our classroom! Thank you in advance for your support.
- CSL Reports- Communicating Student Learning Reports will be sent home on Friday, February 3rd
- Please sign the back of the white folder (you are welcome to leave a comment if you wish)
- Please return the white folder and brown envelope to school by February 10th
