This week we had our first glimpse of spring! On Tuesday we went for a Nature Walk and began noticing signs of spring! Hopefully this means the colder weather is behind us! We wish you all a wonderful and happy Spring Break

Homework:
- Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of home reading (please use “My Reading” book, “My Read Well” book, online reading programs, library books, or books from home)
- Open Parachute– Please continue to ask your child about what they learned during SEL. You can access the OpenParachute Parent Resources here
- Apps- We have sent home information in your child’s homework folder on how to access Epic which is a reading app. Feel free to explore it with your child over the break!
- Lent Calendar- Reminder that for each day of Lent, Kindergarten has been colouring in a box on their Lent Story Calendar and we have sent home their calendar to fill out. Reminder to please put this sheet somewhere your child will see (i.e. refrigerator, desk, etc.) and remember to colour in one box for each day of Lent during Spring Break.
- Mite Boxes- Please continue to fill the Mite Boxes given out on Ash Wednesday. A reminder that the money goes towards supporting our local Seminarians studying to become priests.
- Theme Binder & STEM Duotangs- We have sent home the Theme (Black) Binder and STEM (Blue) Duotang. Please go through the work with your child and complete the “2 Stars & 1 Wish” self-assessment sheet with them. Please also take out the sheets to keep the work at home and send the empty binder, duotang, and the completed self-assessment back to school after Spring Break.
Friendly Reminders:
- Scholastic Reading Club– The March Catalogue can be viewed online here. Reminder it is optional to order, but if you do please enter Kindergarten’s class code RC318627 at checkout so that we can receive rewards for our classroom! Thank you in advance for your support.
- Lenten School Mass – Reminder that Mass is at 8:15 am to accommodate families. Please have your children sit in the front rows with the rest of the school staff and students.
- Quiet Time Blankets– Quiet time blankets/towels were sent home yesterday to be laundered over Spring break. Please return it when school reopens.
