Hello Grade 3 Families!
It’s hard to believe that we will be starting the first week of Advent this Sunday! Let us remember to pay attention to the “present moment” as we rush around, getting ready for the many Christmas celebrations and gatherings. Being in the “present moment with Christ”, is the most beautiful gift that we will be able to receive and share with others during this holiday season.
As per Ms. Griffin’s email, St. Paul’s Advent project for this year will be collecting items for the Luke 15 House. Each Grade 3 student is asked to contribute a new pair of insulated winter gloves. You can find them at Dollarama for $4.50. I’ve attached a picture so that you can see the type of gloves that each student is asked to hand in.
Each St. Paul student is also asked to hand in $5 that will be used to purchase gift cards. These gift cards will be a part of the Luke 15 House residents’ gifts.
The donations are due by Monday, December 11th. Thank you for your generosity and kindness in helping to bring joy to the less fortunate during the Christmas season.
Also, there has been an ajout to our Grade 3 Advent Party on December 20th. On that day, following the Christmas Concert, the primary students will be having a Pyjama with Stuffy Day, so your child can wear their pyjama and bring their favourite stuffy to school for our Advent Party!
