Hello Grade Five Families!
I hope that you all found some fun things to do on this rainy weekend and are ready for the last week of May. My goodness…just one month to go until the end of the school year! The Grade Five students continue to work hard on their assignments and I am looking forward to all of the learning opportunities and fun events that the next month will bring to Grade Five.
Please note the following information for this week:
Monday
- please remind your child to return their library books
- PE class ~ PE strip is needed as well as PE shoes (if they were brought home)
- Yummy Pasta hot lunch for those who ordered ~ please remember to send cutlery with your child
Tuesday
- D.A.R.E. Program between recess and lunch
Wednesday ~ Track Meet Day!
- please check the PE blog for the details of the St. Paul’s & St. Joe’s track meet ~ Mr. Kelly will be posting them on the PE blog either on Monday afternoon or Tuesday
- please remember that students in Grades 3 – 7 are dropped off and picked up at Minoru Track on this day ~ the times will be included in Mr. Kelly’s blog post
- 7:00pm ~ “Sexuality and Your Child” guest speaker in the Parish Centre gym ~ one parent from each family is expected to attend as noted in Ms. Griffin’s letter which was sent out via email…see you there!
Thursday
- I will be away all day at a meeting and Mrs. Knoll will be teaching Grade 5
- please join the students for Mass at 9:15am in the Church
Friday
- today is our special “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” day when the students will be making candy and watching the movie
- Fukuroku hot lunch for those who ordered ~ please remember to send cutlery with your child
- PE class ~ PE strip is needed
