I’m excited for our first track meet of the 2024 season coming up on Wednesday May 29, 2024.
We discussed the details of the track meet briefly today in Music classes with the students and I will go over things again tomorrow in PE classes.
All students from Gr. 3-7 need to report to their classroom teachers in the stands @ Minoru Track by 8:45am on Wednesday May 29, 2024. This event is a part of our school’s PE program and all students in Gr. 3-7 will participate! A schedule of the day’s events is attached for your convenience.
All students should wear their gym strip and runners and be appropriately dressed for the weather. There is some rain in the forecast so raincoats, ballcaps, extra socks , and a towel would all be useful items. Students will require adequate snacks and water for the day’s competition as well as sunscreen & hats for protection from the sun in the afternoon. The concession will not be available on Wednesday. Students are reminded to sign out/check out with their classroom teachers to ensure that everyone is accounted for as the track meet concludes. Pick-up time on Wednesday is between 1:30 – 1:45pm at Minoru Track for all Gr. 3-7 students. Students in Kindergarten to Grade 2 will be dismissed from school at the regular 2:00 pm dismissal time.
