Hello Grade One Families,
The children were so excited about the Solar Eclipse on Monday! We learned all about the solar eclipse and even got to watch the live NASA stream throughout the day! They look forward to the next one on August 23, 2044! They were thrilled to figure out they will be 26/27 years old the next time this comes around!
We are very pleased to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair will be returning to our school library this Tuesday, April 16-19! It is an opportunity for students and families to purchase books published by Scholastic as a fundraiser for our school library. A percentage of the money raised at the Book Fair is given back to the school for the purchase of library books for the students to check-out and for teachers to use in the classrooms. The Grade 1 class will attend the book fair and make purchases with their parents. Please see Mrs. Kelly’s Library blog post for more information.
Student Led booking begins Saturday, April 13th @ 9:00 am until Wednesday, April 17th. Please see the note sent home from the office for more information on how to sign up. We look forward to welcoming all families into our classroom on Friday, April 19th for Student Led Conferences. Just a reminder to please come during your scheduled time, as there are no regular classes.
