Hello Grade Two Families,
This past week, the students began the I’m a Gift from God program. Together, we discussed that our bodies are a gift from God, how we keep ourselves safe, and how to be assertive. The children brought home their Student Booklet. Please review pages 1-3 with them and complete pages 4 & 5 for tomorrow.
Additionally, throughout the week, the class watched our butterflies emerge from their cocoons and enjoyed setting them free on Thursday! It was wonderful to see how observant the children were while raising these butterflies and how excited they were to finally release them! Please stay tuned for an instagram reel (that will also be posted on ClassDojo) to see just how much fun we had! Thank you to Ms. Meyer for capturing this butter-ful experience for us!
Finally, because we no longer have Home Reading or Raz-Kids, your child is asked to simply read for 20 minutes daily. These can be books from home or from the library. Please note, our final visit to the school library will be this Wednesday and all library books need to be returned to school by Monday, June 17th. I am so proud of the growth your children have made with their reading this year and appreciate all the hours you spent reading with them at home!

Friday
- School Assembly led by Grade 5 and 1
- No PE today
- Fukuroku Hot Lunch
- Grade 7 Fundraiser @ 1:00pm ~ please join us!
- Students will receive their pre-ordered treats to enjoy on this day
