Hi Grade Two Families,
This past week was a busy one, filled with lots of learning and fun! First, the children explored the different ways our communities can meet our needs and wants. With the use of puppets, the class enjoyed brainstorming the various ways that community helpers provide us with goods and services. We also wrapped up the “I’m a Gift from God” program by reflecting on all the blessings we have in our lives. Thank you, parents, for completing the Family Pages with your child throughout the program.
Additionally, the students got to find out their Fun Day colours and had a team meeting to come up with a name and crest! Please ask your child what team they are on. They will need to come to school wearing their team colours on Friday. Then, the children got to attend the Grade Seven Art Show and Fundraiser! They enjoyed walking around and looking at all the beautiful art pieces that the Grade Seven students created and also had a lot of fun watching them perform at “The Final Chapter.” The gym was filled with lots of laughter and excitement! Thank you for supporting their fundraiser for Canuck Place.
Finally, I would like to wish all dads a Happy Father’s Day! I hope your day is poppin’ and that you enjoy the gift your child has made for you!
