Hello Grade 3 Families!
It’s hard to believe that it will be the end of the month of May next week … Time flies by so fast ! The students will be busy between now and the end of the school year as they continue to prepare to walk up those stairs into intermediate!!!
We have a lot of exciting things happening this week, beginning with our Field Trip to the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, and then the St. Paul & St. Joseph Track Meet!
The Field Trip to the Vancouver International Children’s Festival on Tuesday will be to go see the 360 Allstars. Here is the weblink https://www.childrensfestival.ca/performer/360-allstars/ ! On Monday I will send information through an email as a reminder of what your child will need to bring with them for the field trip.
The track & Field Day with St. Joseph the Worker School is scheduled for Wednesday and will be at the Minoru Track. It will be another exciting day for the Grade 3 students! Please make sure that your child comes to see me as soon as you arrive so that I can check their name on the attendance list. Before you leave with your child at the end of the day, also please come and see me to place your signature beside your child’s name on the attendance list. This confirms that your child has left with you. Additional related information will be in the PE blog.
By the end of next week the Grade 3 students should have finished the written and visual components for the two categories of their Social Studies project, and have started to practice their group presentations. I will be posting your child’s group presentation in their ClassDojo portfolio for you to be able to see it at the end of this term!
I would like to thank you and our Grade 3 homeroom parent Mrs. Diaz for the thoughtful birthday gift and wishes, along with the amazing really fruit fruit cake, and the delicious treats that were enjoyed by all; it was greatly appreciated!
There will be no spelling words next week.
