Hello Grade 3 Families!
It’s hard to believe that we will be starting the first week of Advent this Sunday! Let us remember to pay attention to the “present moment” as we rush around, getting ready for the many Christmas celebrations and gatherings. Being in the “present moment with Christ”, is the most beautiful gift that we will be able to receive and share with others during this holiday season.
As per Ms. Moorehead’s email, St. Paul’s Advent project for this year will be collecting gently used blankets for the Blanket BC Society. If you have any blankets that you would like to contribute, please bring them to school between December 5th & 9th. Each Grade 3 student is also asked to contribute a new scarf to help keep the less fortunate warm in these cooler temperatures. The scarves should be brought to school between the same dates. Thank you.
On Monday the students will be doing a written summative assessment for their knowledge of which prayer we pray on the various parts of the rosary, starting with the crucifix. If you could go over the prayers prayed with them on their rosary, it would help prepare them.
