Hello Grade Five Families!
The Grade Six class led a thoughtful Remembrance Day Assembly today. On Saturday November 11, let us all take time to reflect upon the sacrifices made during war and be thankful for those who fought for our country.
Next week we will begin a new unit in the Open Parachute program. The title of the unit is “Working Through Anger and Creating Systems of Support”. I hope that the students will find the lessons both informative for their own mental health as well as how they can support others.
Please note the following for next week:
Monday
- no school due to the Remembrance Day holiday
Tuesday
- please remind your child to return any library books that may be at your home
- last day to place Scholastic orders from the holiday flyer sent home this week
Wednesday
- PE class ~ PE strip is needed
Thursday
- there is no school Mass today because both Fr. Smith and Fr. Sajy are away
Friday
- Canella hot lunch for those who ordered
- PE class ~ PE strip is needed
Please note: Altar Serving Training will be on Saturday, November 25th, and Saturday, December 2nd from 12:30pm – 3:30pm. Students interested in altar serving must be present on both days. Practice will be held in the church and led by Christian San Jose.
