Hello parents,
I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving!
Here are the events this week for Grade 7:
Fraser River Discovery Centre Field Trip – Wednesday October 16th
We will leave at 9:10am and be back about 12:45pm for this STEM field trip to the Fraser River Discovery Centre in New Westminster.
The students will investigate the current water quality conditions of the Fraser River here in the Lower Mainland and how industry, other human activity, and climate change are impacting this precious natural resource.
Thank you to our volunteer supervisors who will be joining us. And thank you to those who volunteered, but whose name was not drawn from the many that put their name forth – we hope to have you attend on a future field trip!
Confirmation Parent Meeting – Wednesday October 16th @ 6:45pm
This meeting will take place in the gym at 6:45pm.
In addition to the relevant information being provided that night regarding Confirmation, other important items will be distributed at this meeting. Therefore, we ask that at least one parent/guardian for each student is present at this meeting.
Learning Conferences – Friday October 18th @ 8am to 6pm
By now you have likely signed up for a time for yourself and your child to meet with myself on Friday for the Learning Conference.
This will be an opportunity for you, your child and myself to briefly discuss your child’s current progress at the start of the year and their current SMART goal they would like to work towards over the next month(s).
The conference will be 10 minutes, at which time a bell will be rung. Should you feel that you had important questions that we could not address in that time, please email me afterwards. Thank you and I look forward to productive meetings with you all on Friday!
Spirit Day Registration
And one last reminder – for those students wanting to attend Spirit Day on Sunday November 10th from 10am-6pm, please have your registration and payment in to me by Wednesday October 16th so I can pass them along to the Parish who will then register us. Thank you!
Enjoy your week!
