Hi Kinder families,
We hope all of you had a wonderful extra long weekend! Last week, we learned the difference between the /z/ and /s/ sounds the letter “Ss” makes, we explored the mass of objects by comparing which was lighter or heavier, and we started to prepare for our upcoming Assembly this Friday!

Scholastic Reading Club– The May/June Catalogue can be viewed online here. Reminder it is optional to order, but if you do please enter Kindergarten’s class code RC318627 at checkout so that we can receive rewards for our classroom! Thank you in advance for your support.
Warmer Weather- With the welcome arrival of the warmer weather please feel free to dress your child accordingly. The classroom gets quite warm so there is not as much of a need for extra layers!
Luke 15 House– Please help us support our friends at Luke 15 House by bringing in a 170g can of tuna/salmon by Friday, May 24th.
Children’s Festival Permission Forms– Friendly reminder to please return completed permissions forms by this Tuesday, May 21st. We will be sending out an email to confirm which parents will be joining us for the field trip. Thank you for those who have already volunteered!
Upcoming Assembly– Last week, we sent home a short reading for each child to read for our upcoming assembly, this Friday, May 24th. Please practice it with your child this week!
Grade 7 Fundraiser– Our Grade 7 Buddies are putting on a fundraising variety show called The Final Chapter on Friday, June 14th at 1:00pm. Children have the option to support the fundraiser by ordering snacks, bookmarks and/or keychains. The menu order forms were sent home in Homework Folders. Orders and payments are asked to be returned in the Ziploc bag the forms came with, and are due on Thursday, May 23rd.
