We are beginning the month of November, and with society slowly beginning to open, life is starting to feel more “normal” a little bit at a time.
The reality is, however, that we are still in the pandemic, and we are in a school where the majority of the population is ineligible to be vaccinated. I felt it was a good time to share updated information from the BC Centre for Disease Control on what would happen if there were to be a confirmed case of COVID-19 in either a student or staff member. The information includes contract tracing information (with an informative diagram), who would be contacted by VCH and how, and what they would need to do (based on vaccination status). There is also an FAQ section.
While society continues to slowly return to normal, we continue with our diligence in following our school communicable disease plan in order to keep our community safe. We thank our families for supporting us in this manner, and we continue to encourage all eligible members of our school community to receive two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine; this is our best line of protection for our students and families.

Wishing you a happy November!
Yours in faith,
