So much fun this morning for our Halloween dress down day! The laughter, the creative costumes, and the enthusiasm for the day bring such joy and excitement to our learning environment. Both staff and students alike work tremendously hard each and every day, however just as important is the opportunity to flood our bodies and brains with the natural feel-good chemicals that come when we participate in activities that allow us to play and laugh; balance is key. The students know this well and it is a natural part of their childhood, it’s us grownups that sometimes need reminders. I am blessed to work with colleagues who understand the importance of laughter and fun, and shine that energy upon the students and each other on a daily basis. I am grateful that joy is alive and well at St. Paul, not only on Halloween, but all year long!
Yours in faith,
Maureen Moorehead.
